cleanliness - very clean - modern rooms and bathrooms. location - lovely countryside within walking distance - nice little village with bars and shops nearby. local insights - hotel mainly used by French and British seniors. standout service - receptionist went above and beyond to help with flight confirmations and room readiness.
Strongly recommend.

Rooms are okay with comfortable beds, a bathroom with bath tub and doors opening to a central courtyard. Location of the hotel is close to the bus stops in Santo da Serra.
After a two days of cold and rainy weather, things in our rooms started to feel quite humid as well (seems like they have a bit of a problem with humidity, at least in the part of the hotel where our room was located). The breakfast/dinner room lacks any kind of cosy atmosphere, and the food isn't really anything special. I would recommend eating somewhere else.

At my favorite place in Santo Antonio da Serra, staff helped me with currency. This perfect spot has everything – free Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, gym, pool, spa, laundry. I'm always coming back, especially for Easter. No regrets.

Everything was very good! excellent value for the money, great breakfast, good decor, parking place, peace and quiet location, great place to walk in nature, just beside a beautiful park, and near field golf and an equestrian center. Excellent for walks on the country side and 15/20 minutes drive from the center of the beautiful city of Machico.
No Wi-Fi.

Great location for hiking and exploring the island. the breakfast had a lot of options and the staff was very friendly.
The walls were thin and we could hear our neighbours clearly. the bed was uncomfortable and the decor was outdated.

The location of the hotel is ideal for mountain tours. Spacious rooms, a relaxing atmosphere and an excellent breakfast in the morning; what else do you need? There is definitely nothing to dislike or complain about.

Located down at the coast, this lovely hotel is surrounded by lush greenery and offers stunning views. It is conveniently close to the Botanical gardens and just a short drive from the airport. the rooms are comfortable with good beds and some even have balconies. the staff provides excellent service, and the buffet breakfast offers a great variety of choices. the hotel also features a heated indoor pool, Turkish bath, and a pretty garden for relaxation.
One downside is that there is no minibar available in the rooms.

The breakfast was delicious and the staff kept our room clean and refreshed daily. the hotel is beautifully decorated and the grounds are well-maintained. We also loved the easy access to popular Levada walks and the short drive to Funchal. The hotel offered good value for money and we highly recommend it. Cons: Everything was spot on! 👌.

During my Christmas stay, I really enjoyed the authentic design and the wonderful pool area. The pool area was a great place to relax and unwind, especially with the sauna and hot whirlpool. The hotel's location in the hills also provided a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. the hotel staff were friendly and spoke good English, which made communication easy.
There were a few aspects that I didn't particularly enjoy during my stay. the noise from the doors being banged all night was quite disruptive and made it difficult to get a good night's sleep.
